Vaidya Manohar Palakurthi, BAMS, is a highly respected Ayurvedic expert in the western world and India. He has been practicing Ayurveda for 33 years.

He is a leading Ayurvedic physician, educator, and Ayurvedic curriculum consultant.

Vaidya Manohar Palakurthi is a leading Maharishi AyurVeda expert – the consciousness-based approach to health – having worked directly with Maharishi for three decades. Vaidya Manohar has taught Maharishi AyurVeda courses, including Maharishi Nadi Vigyan, all over the world, and currently teaches at Maharishi International University, USA. He consults for Maharishi AyurVeda course development for physicians in the USA, Japan, and Europe, and for the development of Maharishi AyurVeda herbal products.

Vaidya Palakurthi was trained by, and worked with, world experts such as Vaidya Balraj Maharishi, the world’s leading expert in Dravya Guna, Rajvaidya Brihaspati Dev Triguna, the world’s leading expert in Nadi Vigyan, and Vaidya V.M. Dwivedi, former Vice-chancellor of Jamnagar Ayurveda University, the world’s leading expert in Ayurvedic mineral and metal preparations.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is an integrated Indian Degree in the medical field. This degree program is conferred to those students who studied modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda.


Sangeeta Sharma, BAMS, PhD

Dr. Sangeeta Sharma is mother of two children and wife of a physicist, is an Ayurveda Vaidya, MD PhD in Panchakarma (Ayurveda), Researcher and Academician. She comes from the rich Vedic cultural background and strong values like sincerity, self-discipline, kindness and gratitude inherited from her family. Her father inspired her to pursue Ayurveda, the holistic science and dream of representing Ayurveda at international Level.

Vaidya Sangeeta is a dedicated professional with 15 years of experience in practice and 5 years in teaching during PG and PhD in Ayurveda. She is specialized in Panchakarma had cured several patients with variety of ailments including metabolic and lifestyle disorders. She is also certified in Nutrition, Health Education, and Astro Medicine and uses a holistic approach by including yoga, Astrology, and meditation in curing a disease and preventing further reoccurrence. She is an avid learner and has attended many workshops and conferences to update herself on the new developments and different approaches to curing ailments.

In her endeavor to share knowledge with others, she has co-authored a book on Vamana Karma (therapeutic emesis) in 2018. This is the first of its kind exclusively on Vamana Karma. She has also  presented many papers and published several articles. She is passionate about giving back to society and has done a lot of work with NGO’s and community development. She has also conducted many camps and awareness programs to educate the common man on Ayurvedic ways of living.

Dr. Sangeeta received a BAMS degree from Dr. BRKR Govt. Ayurveda College in Hyderabad, India and was the topper of her batch. She later pursued her post-graduate MD and PhD from National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur, India. She was All India 4th Rank in the PG entrance and All India 2nd Rank in PhD entrance. She has done her research on Dyslipidemia in her MD and Hypothyroidism for her PhD.

She is a Guinness Book of World Records holder for being the trainer and key participant in the “Largest number of people receiving NASYA therapy” during RAYM held at National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur on September 15th, 2017.

Before joining MIU, she worked as Research Head for Vaishnavi welfare and charitable trust, an NGO in India, working on the management of Malnutrition through Ayurveda and as a Panchakarma Consultant in Guna Ayurveda, Hyderabad.


Amandeep Kaur Negi, BAMS, MHA

Vaidya Amandeep Kaur Negi is an ardent Ayurveda lover. She practices predominantly in Maharishi AyurVeda and Panchakarma and has over 15 years of clinical and teaching experience in Ayurveda. She earned her BAMS degree from a prestigious government college in Punjab with multiple distinctions. Her MHA (Masters in Hospital/Health Administration) was earned from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, Karnataka, where she was first rank in the university. She received her Post-Graduate certificate in Panchakarma from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.

She is currently is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in the department of Physiology and Health at MIU. In addition to being a full-time Vaidya in the MIU clinic, she also mentors the clinical practicums of the students in the BAAW, MAVIM, and Fellowship courses at the Department of Physiology and Health, whenever appropriate.

Over the past 15+ years, she has been treating patients with diseases of acute to chronic nature, with detailed analysis through Maharishi Naadi Vigyaan (Pulse Diagnosis). She has been successfully treating cases of metabolic disorders, skin disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, pain management in musculoskeletal disorders, mental health, and more. She uses various Ayurvedic approaches not limited to Herbs, Panchakarma, Agni Karma, Marma Therapy, and Aromatherapy. She has a firm belief in a holistic approach to treating the body, mind, and soul.

Before moving to MIU with her husband and daughter around 4 years ago, she was already practicing Maharishi AyurVeda in New Delhi and the Noida area of North India. She was also successfully running her own Panchakarma clinic. She has given lectures, training sessions, and seminars throughout her career on promoting Ayurveda into the daily lives of many in residential societies, corporations, and schools in India. Throughout her career she has also been providing the general public with basic Ayurvedic lifestyle recommendations and Ayurvedic management of diseases. She has been a visiting Ayurveda Physician in many Ayurvedic clinics in India, Europe, and the USA. Vaidya Amandeep’s mission in life is to spread Ayurvedic wisdom in every household around the world.


 

Sanjeev Kalra, BAMS

Sanjeev Kalra is a well known Maharishi Ayurveda specialist with expertise in Ayurvedic Neuropsychiatry. He is a leading Ayurvedic physician and holds over 16 years of clinical, academic and administrative experience.

Vaidya Kalra has worked with top hospitals in India and served as the Senior Consultant at the Maharishi Ayurveda Hospital in New Delhi prior to joining Maharishi International University. He has taught Ayurveda in various Ayurvedic medical colleges and also served as the Senior Administrator. He has been associated with the Greek Institute of Ayurveda, taught Nadi Vigyan and has seen patients from all over the world.

He earned his MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Ayurveda from one of the world’s leading Ayurveda Medical Institute, SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital Hassan. The MD degree is conferred to the BAMS doctors who have studied 5 and 1/2 years in modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda after completing their specialized postgraduate dissertation, with 3 years of full clinical training in India. Vaidya Kalra studied under some of the world’s top modern Vaidyas and Administrators including Professor P.N. Rao, Professor B.S. Prasad, and Professor Suhas Shetty.
