During Clinicals the Doshi Center will host groups of MIU’s MS students and graduates in Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine as interns in the clinic. The price of a consultation during these “clinical practicum” weeks, with students present, will be $75. Clients may specifically request a “practicum consultation.” We will let you know when the next clinicals will take place and notify you.
In an integrative health consultation, the client meets an Ayurvedic physician (vaidya) for 30 minutes with students present, and then there is a group interview for the students to ask questions. However, the final results and recommendations will come directly from the Vaidya and the Physicians assistant.
Ayurvedic recommendations may include:
- Ayurvedic determination of body type and imbalance
- Diet and lifestyle matched to Ayurvedic body type and imbalance
- Maharishi AyurVeda Herbal preparations recommendations
- Spice recommendations for meals and for “spice waters”
- Home cleansing programs when appropriate
- Aroma therapy recommendations
- Herbalized oil recommendation for “abhyanga”- ayurvedic self-massage
